1. Gruffalo Walk & Easter Egg Hunt  

(Easter Saturday, 16th April) 

Explore Colin Glen Forest in search of some familiar friends and some delicious Easter treats! Discover the country’s only official Gruffalo Trail with a limited edition, guided Gruffalo Walk and Easter Egg Hunt.  

Bring your little ones along and go right inside the glorious Gruffalo and Stickman stories – search for the famous characters in the woods (and some tasty chocolate treats!), listen wide-eyed and wondered to the classic tales and take home your very own Julia Donaldson and friends book, Easter Egg, sticker and certificate, to keep forever! 

Book the limited edition Guided Gruffalo Walk and Easter Egg Hunt to hear the beloved tale of the Gruffalo like never before, with an egg-cellent twist! 

2. FREE Family Golf Club Hire at Colin Glen’s TrackMan Driving Range 

(Throughout April)  

Go golfing over the Easter break at Colin Glen’s TrackMan Driving Range and Indoor Suite – complete with a host of child-friendly, interactive games and challenges! 

Enjoy free club hire for families, and tea & coffee at one of our heated outdoor driving range bays for just £10. 

With 15 heated outdoor bays available, along with the Indoor TrackMan Suite, Colin Glen Leisure Entrance is ideal for all-weather Easter days out! 

3. The NEW River Rapid Zipline 

(From 15th April) 

Ireland’s longest zipline, River Rapid, will open to the public this Friday, 15th April, and is now available to book alongside other popular attractions such as Ireland’s first alpine coaster, the Black Bull Run and the 250m Forest Flyover zipline throughout Easter week at Colin Glen’s Mountain Entrance. 

River Rapid features a 700m dual zipline with a 100ft high take-off offering views of Belfast and beyond as you zip across the Colin River at up to 50mph. 

Feeling brave? Take on the zipline package where you’ll experience both Forest Flyover and River Rapid and take your adventure to new heights! 

4. 5-a-side anyone? 

(Throughout Easter week) 

Colin Glen has one floodlit fully contained 7-a-side football pitch, and three floodlit, fully contained 5-a-side pitches that are perfect for matches, training or coaching, a friendly kick about with your mates or even a birthday party this Easter. 

For those rainy days, we also have the fully covered 3G Dome which accommodates up to 9-a-side. Gaelic, soccer, hurling or rugby – it’s up to you! 

5. Get back to nature 

With 10km of trails around our 200-acre forest park, walk amongst wildlife, conservation, history and heritage in beautiful woodland surroundings this Easter. Follow the colour-coded walks along the river, past waterfalls, sneak past busy squirrels, and rest your legs on the stone-built seating along the way…
