Guided Forest Walk: Take a guided walk through the enchanting Colin Glen Forest, where you’ll meet the creatures from the story and explore the natural beauty of the forest. Feel free to go at your own pace! This event is self service and although guided the route is quite straight forward.

Interactive Forest Activities: Engage in fun and educational forest activities, including nature bingo and mini beast hunts making your adventure both exciting and enriching.+

Arts and Crafts: Spark creativity with our arts and crafts sessions, featuring stickman making, mask making and colouring in.

Mini Beast Hunt: Participate in a thrilling mini beast hunt, discovering and learning about the tiny creatures that inhabit the forest.

Nature Exploration: Discover the wonders of nature as you explore the forest, learning about the plants and animals that call it home.

Jump in muddy puddles: Weather permitting!

This event is for you to engage with your little ones and spend time in nature, although this is a guided tour the additional activities are there for your family to create enjoyment and are not lead by staff.

Important Information:

Appropriate Clothing: Please ensure everyone dresses appropriately for the weather. Layers are recommended.

Welly Boots: The forest paths can be muddy, so don’t forget to wear your welly boots for a comfortable and enjoyable walk.

• Your own storyteller to tell the famous Gruffalo tale along the way
• As an added bonus, join the trail of The Stickman, another story from the same author
• Collect sticks and create your very own Stickman
• Every child receives a book by renowned authors including Julia Donaldson and a special ‘I’ve met the Gruffalo’ certificate
• Children under 2 go free (but do not receive a book)
