PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – THIS IS A LEGALLY BINDING DOCUMENT
By signing this waiver, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with participating in activities at Colin Glen Trust and assume responsibility for yourself and any individuals under your supervision or within your group.

1. Acknowledgment of Risks
• I acknowledge that there is an element of risk in all activities at Colin Glen Trust, including but not limited to: SKYTrek high and low ropes course, Fan Descender, Climbing Wall, 90m Zip Line, Archery, Laser-Tag, The Black Bull Run, Forest Flyover Dual Zip lines, River Rapid Dual Zip Lines.
• I confirm that I and those within my booking are willing to participate in these activities.
• I declare that I am 18 years or older and the lead adult in my party.
• I consent to allow minors under my supervision to participate and accept responsibility for their behaviour.

2. Supervision of Minors (Under 18s)
• All participants under 18 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Ziplines
• Suitable for children aged 10+
• Children aged 10-17 must be accompanied by a participating adult (18+)
• One participating adult (18+) may supervise up to 7 children

Alpine Coaster (Black Bull Run)
• Ages 3–7: Must ride with a participating adult (18+).
• Ages 8–17: Must be actively supervised by an adult (18+) for the duration of the activity.
• One adult may supervise up to 7 children.

Other Activities: Adult supervision is required at all times. Participation by the adult may be required depending on the activity type and the age of the child, as outlined by Colin Glen staff.
• I will ensure all minors are supervised within requirements and follow all staff instructions.
• All supervision requirements are subject to change based on operational or safety needs as determined by Colin Glen staff.

3. Age, Weight, and Height Requirements
• I acknowledge that participation in activities is subject to specific age, height, and weight requirements.
• I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that I, and any individual(s) I am signing on behalf of (including minors or members of a group), meet the applicable criteria as detailed on Colin Glen’s official website.
• Entry to activities may be refused without refund if participants do not meet required age, height, or weight thresholds.

4 Safety and Conduct
I and those under my supervision will:
• Not begin activities until instructed.
• Listen to and follow all safety briefings.
• Act responsibly and not endanger others.
• Wear all required protective equipment.
• Only continue with the activity if able to fully understand and follow instructions provided in English.

4.1 Language Requirement for Safety
All safety briefings, signage, and instructions are provided in English. For safety reasons:
• All participants must be able to understand and follow English instructions.
• If staff believe a participant cannot adequately understand or follow instructions, they may be denied participation for safety reasons.
• If a group includes participants who do not speak or understand English, the group leader must ensure a responsible English-speaking adult is present to translate safety rules and instructions.
• The designated translator accepts full responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the translation.
• Misunderstanding instructions due to language barriers may cause a safety risk and result in removal or exclusion from the activity without refund.

Some activities may be unsupervised after briefing; participants must follow all signage and instructions.

5. Black Bull Run (Alpine Coaster) Participation Requirements
• I consent to ensure that all children aged 3–7 years in my group will travel with a responsible adult (aged 18 or older) in the same Toboggan cart.
• The adult will be the sole person in control of the Toboggan cart at all times.
• Children are not permitted to operate or control the Toboggan cart under any circumstances.
• Participants aged 8 years and older may ride solo only if they fully understand the safety briefing and follow all instructions provided by Colin Glen staff.
• All participants must attend a safety briefing before taking part in the Black Bull Run. Participation is not permitted without completing this briefing.
• I understand that failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the activity without refund.

6. Health Declaration
I confirm that all participants in my group are in good physical condition to undertake the chosen activities.

I confirm that no one in my group suffers from conditions that could be aggravated by participation, including but not limited to:
• Heart conditions or high blood pressure
• Neck/back problems or recent surgery
• Bone/joint issues
• Respiratory conditions (e.g., asthma)
• Epilepsy or seizures
• Balance or mobility difficulties
• Pregnancy

If any condition applies, I will inform staff prior to participation. I understand that medical clearance may be required, and Colin Glen reserves the right to request it.

If medical clearance is not provided, I acknowledge that the participant may be taking part at their own risk, and that Colin Glen staff reserve the right to refuse entry or participation if, in their judgment, the individual’s condition presents a safety concern—regardless of whether the condition has been disclosed.

7. Liability Waiver
• II accept the risk of injury or loss during activities.
• I waive, release, and discharge Colin Glen Trust, its staff, and affiliates from any and all claims or liabilities for injury, loss, or damage arising out of or in connection with participation in activities, except where caused by Colin Glen’s proven negligence.
• I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Colin Glen from any claims brought by or on behalf of any member of my group.
• Colin Glen may suspend or cancel participation due to:
Intoxication
Non-compliance
Reckless behaviour
Inclement weather (at Duty Manager’s discretion)

8. Public Health Risk Acknowledgment
• I acknowledge that participation in activities may involve exposure to contagious illnesses, including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, or other airborne viruses.
• I voluntarily assume all risks related to such exposure for myself and those under my supervision.

9. Media and Data Consent
• I consent to:
Photos of my activity being broadcast on-site.
Use of CCTV for safety, training, and security.
• Personal photography is allowed for non-commercial use only.

Declaration of Understanding and Agreement
By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understood the contents of this Activity Waiver & Release of Liability. I acknowledge the risks involved, accept the stated terms and conditions, and agree to comply with all safety instructions and participation requirements. I further confirm that I am signing voluntarily and take full responsibility for myself and any individuals for whom I am signing, including minors or members of a group.
