    Sample Summer Scheme Itinerary: Colin Glen Forest Park

    Monday–Wednesday: Mountain Entrance
    Thursday–Friday: Leisure Entrance

    Below is a sample week-long itinerary showcasing the variety of activities across both sites. Each day is packed with adventure, skill-building, and fun, making the most of Colin Glen’s unique facilities.

    Monday: Mountain Entrance – Forest Adventure Kick off

    • Welcome & Icebreakers

    • Black Bull Run Alpine Coaster

    • 250m Forest Flyover Zipline

    • Archery Session

    • Forest Activities & Nature Exploration (e.g., mini-beast hunts etc)

    • Team Trust Games (outdoor challenges and bonding exercises)

    • Free Play & Supervised Games

    Tuesday: Mountain Entrance – Challenge Day

    • SKYTrek High Ropes & Low Ropes Courses

    • Climbing Wall

    • Free Fall Fan Descender

    • Orienteering & Map Skills

    • Laser Tag

    • Group Games (capture the flag, relay races)

    Wednesday: Mountain Entrance – Adventure Mix

    • Additional Alpine Coaster Rides

    • Zipline (Graduate to Ireland’s longest Zip Line Experience)

    • Team Building Activities (Jacob’s ladder, crate stack, gladiator challenges)

    • Archery Competition

    • Nature Crafts (using forest materials)

    • End-of-Day Mini Tournament (mix of skills learned)

    Thursday: Leisure Entrance – Sports & Skills

    • Welcome at Leisure Entrance

    • Football Skills & Mini Matches (indoor 3G Dome or outdoor pitches)

    • Rounders & Ball Games

    • Group Golf Lesson with PGA Professional (TrackMan Driving Range)

    • Putting Challenge on 9-Hole Golf Course

    • Team Sports: GAA, rugby, or multi-sport games

    • Free Play in Sports Dome

    Friday: Leisure Entrance – Fun Finale

    • Driving Range Competition

    • Golf Course Adventure (mini tournament or skills challenge)

    • Dodgeball & Tag Games

    • Sports Olympics (mix of football, rounders, and relay races)

    • Awards Ceremony & Certificates

    • Group Photo & Farewell

    Additional Activities 

    • Laser Tag

    • Nature Walks

    • Orienteering or scavenger hunts in the forest

    • Team-building workshops or leadership challenges

    • Creative workshops (art, drama, or music outdoors)

    This itinerary ensures a balance of high-adrenaline adventure, skill development, and team fun, making the most of both the Mountain and Leisure Entrances at Colin Glen Forest Park.

    All activities are supervised by qualified instructors, and the schedule will be adapted based on group size, age, and weather conditions.

This activity is located at our River Entrance Site

Colin Glen Forest Park is a beautiful woodland river glen located on the edge of the Belfast Hills.

It has been described as Belfast’s ‘Green Lung’, and is located to the Southwest of Belfast City Centre, one mile north west of Dunmurry Village, with convenient access from the M1.
